About The English Channel:

The English Channel is a British Council website which brings together interesting UK arts content, combined with English language practice.

Through a variety of film, music and lifestyle videos, you can develop English skills and further explore the content and language.

The English Channel curates the best of contemporary British Arts, from both the British Council and our partners, and through these presents authentic, real examples of the English language in use. Viewers can interact with videos on The English Channel, and, through exercises created by our experts, add to their English language knowledge and skills. Vocabulary, grammatical awareness and listening skills are all enhanced and practiced while allowing the viewer to explore and enjoy the best of UK Arts.
